About us

The company – at that time Technomechanics- was established in 1982 by Mr. Dimitrios Vassiliou and Mr. George Sitinas, both distinguished Naval Architects with extensive field experience in ship repairs. At its inception, the company primarily focused on shipyard representation and the supervision of routine repair activities.

During the 1990s, the company expanded its ship repair coverage to include Europe, which at the time represented the central hub of ship repairs, as well as Africa. By the late 1990s, the company had also extended its operations to the emerging markets of Asia, marking the beginning of a strong international presence.

The company was recognized as a Top Agent by its Principals in acknowledgment of its outstanding performance and reliability.

Interyards has achieved a significant milestone in 2001 through the collaboration with Intermodal. Technomechanics and Intermodal’s ship repair division were consolidated to form Interyards. Leveraging strong synergies, international partnerships, and an integrated operational strategy, Interyards quickly evolved to meet the highest standards of the global maritime industry.

Interyards was appointed exclusive representative of Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore—an industry name synonymous with excellence in ship repairs and conversions for over four decades.

Interyards has expanded its service portfolio across Asia, now also offering comprehensive afloat and underwater solutions.

Interyards signed an exclusive representation with NAVANTIA SHIPREPAIRS & CONVERSIONS in Spain owning total three ship repair centers on the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea:
Fene-Ferrol (Northwest Atlantic coast)- Cádiz-San Fernando (Straits of Gibraltar)- Cartagena (Mediterranean coast), further reinforcing its presence in key strategic locations.

Interyards has established a strong presence across major shipyards in South, Central, and North China with numerous successful projects and retrofits. Through long-term partnerships and technical expertise, the company has positioned itself as a trusted partner, strengthening its footprint in China and its ability to deliver high-quality repair solutions.

• Exclusive Representation of SEMBCORP MARINE REPAIRS & UPGRADES
  (Sembawang Shipyard and Jurong merge)Following the merger of Sembawang Shipyard and Jurong Shipyard, Sembcorp Marine emerged as a global, fully integrated player, enhancing capabilities, efficiency, and service quality for clients worldwide.

• Interyards Relocation
  In the same year, Interyards strengthened its long-standing partnership with Intermodal since 2001—by relocating its offices in Kifissia, operating alongside Intermodal’s headquarters to enhance collaboration and operational synergy.

Interyards continues to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia and China with the successful completion of numerous scrubber retrofit projects, underlining its superior performance and proactive adaptation to the evolving maritime landscape.

Interyards was appointed Co-Exclusive Representative of Seatrium- a combined entity of KEPPEL OFFSHORE & MARINE and SEMBCORP MARINE Ltd- further expanding its global partnerships and reinforcing its position in the international ship repair and conversion market.

Interyards is headquartered in the heart of the Greek shipping community near Piraeus, leveraging over 30 years of experience as a proactive and continuously evolving force in the maritime sector.
